9月15日，歐洲化學品管理署(ECHA)網站公布最新提起脊椎動物實驗征詢的34種化學物質。這一批物質的征詢截止時間是10月31日。

　　根據REACH法規，物質制造商及進口商有義務了解其制造或進口物質毒性反應相關的信息。ECHA為這些物質的危害屬性做出評估并確保物質的危害風險得到備案，使物質的生產、制造、使用和廢舊處理都得到有效控制。REACH法規同樣要求涉及脊椎動物實驗的物質新測試方案應只作為最后訴諸辦法。

　　REACH法規第40(2)條規定，為最大化利用現有信息，特別是關于現有脊椎動物實驗的信息，ECHA將所有脊椎動物測試方案，主要為法規附件IX和附件X要求的數據節點公布在ECHA官方網站，以征求公眾評論意見。每一測試方案公布后，第三方機構有45天的評議征詢時間，向ECHA提出“關于此測試方案的物質及危害節點有效信息或研究”。
